• Submit a 2-page proposal using this template and email it to Hataitip.
• Submission deadline: 30 Oct 2023, 11:59 PM​

• Any basic, translational or clinical research in the healthy longevity area is welcome.​
• A new pilot study based on a novel idea is strongly encouraged, although an extension of an existing research project will also be considered. Preliminary data is not required.

• The best 3 proposals will be selected by the Review Committee. The awardees will be announced at the HLTRP Science Festival during Dinner & Dance (6.30-9pm) on 15 Nov.
• All applicants should prepare a 1-min pitch as you will be asked to describe your project to the audience if you are awarded. Tips for preparing the pitch can be found here.

"Pitch for Fun(d)" Contest

For NUS full-time SRF, RF, RA, postgrad students of PRIMARY MEMBERS only.

Win a travel grant up to $2,000!

• The content of your pitch should be relevant to your research and contain at least some preliminary results.
• Submit your abstract using this template to Hataitip by 30 Oct 2023, 11:59 PM.​
• Shortlisted presenters will be informed by 3 Nov 2023. A presentation file (if applicable) must be submitted by 13 Nov 2023.
• Pitch your research in 3 min at the HLTRP Science Festival on 15 Nov 2023. Business dress code applies.​

• Your audience is HLTRP researchers with multidisciplinary backgrounds and various experience levels.
• Choose the goal of your pitch and get it across to your audience. This goal might be to inform or convince the audience to believe in your idea, to temp them to collaborate, to persuade them to invest, etc.​

• The awards for the top 3 winners are $2000, $1500, and $1000 travel grant to present your work at an international conference.

"The Scientist's Odyssey" Challenge

For ALL research staff and students in HLTRP (including undergrads and interns)

Win POPULAR Bookstore vouchers up to $100!

• Showcase your creative writing skills by sharing a story related to your scientific journey. It can be inspiring, hilarious, emotional or thought-provoking. A fictional story is acceptable too, as long as it is related to your scientific study or research journey!​
• Submit your story (between 300-500 words) in .docx format to Shermaine via email. Please indicate your name and your HLTRP supervisor’s name in the same document.​
• Each individual can only submit one story.​
• Submission deadline: 30 Oct 2023, 11:59 PM​

• All submitted stories will be printed and displayed at the HLTRP Science Festival on 15 Nov 2023.​
• The best 3 stories will be determined by the appointed jury. The winners will be awarded S$100, S$60 and S$30 POPULAR Bookstore vouchers.​
• The winner of the “popular vote” will be determined by the general audience and awarded a S$30 POPULAR Bookstore voucher.​

"Science in Pixels" Challenge

For ALL research staff and students in HLTRP (including undergrads and interns)

Win Starbucks vouchers up to $50!

• Pick the best image or photo from your research. It can be one that is the most technically challenging, most unexpected, or most illuminating or impactful in your view.​
• Write a short description (maximum 60 words) to explain why your chosen image/photo is worth sharing.​
• Send the image in high resolution (300 DPI) and its description to Shermaine via email. Please indicate your name and your HLTRP supervisor’s name in the same email.​
• Each individual can only submit one image.​
• Submission deadline: 30 Oct 2023, 11:59 PM​

• All submitted images will be printed and displayed at the HLTRP Science Festival on 15 Nov 2023.​
• The best 3 images will be determined by the appointed jury. The winners will be awarded S$50, S$30 and S$10 Starbucks vouchers.​
• The winner of the “popular vote” will be determined by the general audience and awarded a S$10 Starbucks voucher.​
