Basics of Negotiation
Join us for an introductory workshop on negotiation skills. Negotiation is a mix of art and science. We come together to discuss the science behind it, so that you can develop your own art of negotiation! Having said that, one can’t learn about negotiations without practicing it. Hence, come prepared to negotiate! The workshop follows an experiential learning approach where participants engage in a practical role play exercise with fellow participants in a simulated real-world scenario. The role play is followed by a debrief discussion where participants reflect on the role play exercise, share insights, and learn from the experience. This workshop offers a quick, impactful introduction to negotiation skills. Whether you’re aiming to excel in your professional life or enhance everyday interactions, this workshop provides a valuable foundation.

Ameek Kaur
Adjunct Senior Lecturer; NUS
National University of Singapore

Ameek Kaur is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at NUS Business School. She teaches MBA and BBA classes on topics like Negotiaition and Conflict Management, Leadership and Decision Making, Management of Technological Innovations. Ameek is an Accredited Mediator (from Singapore Mediation Centre). She is also actively involved in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, and is engaged in some EduTech startups. Ameek is a Non-Executive Director at Hayagreeva (software consulting company) and has been an advisor to some SMEs on Employee Engagement practices.

Ameek comes with a background in computer engineering (B.Eng) and business management (PhD). In the past, Ameek has taught Design Thinking courses at NUS College of Design and Engineering, and collaborated on student design projects with NUH, KKH, SGH.
